noun
  1. the body of words used in a particular language.

    • words used on a particular occasion or in a particular sphere.
      "the vocabulary of law"
    • the body of words known to an individual person.
      "he had a wide vocabulary"

  2. It is important to work first on a body of words that will enable you to speak albeit imperfectly but plausibly to people until you become more proficient. Vocabulary words will increase in difficulty as time goes on.

It is important that you keep a vocabulary list that you are currently working on at hand so you can refer to it as you need to. DO, and study whenever possible both as simple words, including proper pronounciation and then context (how to use in a sentence/in conversation).

The next page will begin to give you a working vocabulary in lists of words. Any you don't recognize or understand ask for the definition and/or context.

This will be your first lesson. In six weeks, there will be a formal test of proficiency and there may also be popup quizzes along the way. You also have translators available at every step. The translator is located at the top of the right task pane on every page.
